On Tuesday, May 22nd, Springboard to Learning will partner with the Sheldon for the second consecutive year to celebrate the musical works of St. Louis-area students. The MusicMaker Culmination, which will be hosted at the Sheldon at 6:30 pm, will feature musical numbers by students at Kennard Elementary, Humboldt Academy, Ford Elementary, Nance Elementary, Fanning Middle, Washington Montessori, Kehrs Mill Elementary, and St. Cecilia Catholic School.
MusicMaker is a Springboard to Learning Signature Program, which teaches students to produce their own music, under the direction of educators and musicians. Students learn how literacy concepts of main ideas and supporting details work to create a musical composition.
The culminating event will include both recorded performances by students, and live performances written by students and performed live by Springboard to Learning Teaching Partners and professional musicians, Mark Pagano and Mike Brandenstein.
The event is free and open to the public.
