“TREE”mendous

Teaching Artist: Kim Madden

Storyteller and naturalist Kim Madden will introduce stories about our friends, the TREES. Students will discover the many facets of these living members of our world – and our own backyards. They will listen, participate, imagine, and predict, as Ms. Kim weaves stories; and then have opportunities to discover, discuss, view, and share items from many tree species, including leaves, nuts, fruits, bark and seed pods. They will build their tree/botanical vocabulary and increase knowledge about the importance of trees with examples of the many benefits they provide for our health, our neighborhoods, and our environment. All will share the good news: Trees work for our well-being!
