Natural Wonders… Earth Protectors Who Led the Way

Teaching Artist: Dianne Moran

Former St. Louis Zoo Naturalist and Great Ape Keeper Dianne Moran leads students on a journey into environmental history as she portrays either Mountain Gorilla Researcher and Defender Dian Fossey, or Mother of Environmentalism Rachel Carson. Stepping from character, Dianne will engage students with the importance of being Earth Caretakers and what they can do to help the animals and environments of the world. Subjects discussed will be endangered wildlife and ecosystems of the world and Missouri and how local agencies and zoos are helping.
