MusicMaker

A SPRINGBOARD SIGNATURE PROGRAM

(Originally Developed by Mark Pagano)

Students develop a variety of literacy skills through music creation and songwriting in this hands-on residency. Students learn the basic components of music while constructing themed lyrics to music. In small groups, students work through the writing process from pre-write to final draft of their songs. Students focus on elements of rhythm and rhyme, as well as melody and song structure. To showcase their creations, students produce their own recorded song. Also available for virtual residencies.
