Intro to V/O for Kids

Teaching Artist: Michelle Dillard

In this residency, students will discover the value of their unique voice and how to unlock other voices hidden inside of them. They will be taught basic acting and voiceover techniques and skills that will help them become talented voice actors. They will also practice reading copy and various scripts out loud, learn how to use a microphone and other recording equipment and software needed to make an MP3. They will develop their vocabulary skills by using voice components and elements needed to voice commercials, narrations and animated videos with their voices. Additionally students will practice warming up their voices with tongue twisters, light breathing and facial exercises, body movement, games and more.
