A SPRINGBOARD SIGNATURE PROGRAM

(Originally Developed by Celeste Nichols and Carrie Launius)

In this hands-on residency students create a prototype of a product that solves a real world problem in their daily lives. Students must use critical thinking to determine a problem in their daily lives and develop possible solutions to solve the problem. Through the Project-based Learning model, students will proceed through a design process that includes brainstorming, problem analysis, protocol creation/testing and product presentation. To solve their problem, students will use creativity, finding new solutions and approaches to the challenge.
