Hip Hop Dance

Students explore Hip hop dance and the music and history associated with it. New vocabularies are acquired and put to use as students learn basic break dance steps and recognize routines from everyday life that inspire dances.  The program culminates with students working in small groups to choreograph original dances which they perform for other classes at school. Requires a large space, an empty classroom or a gym. Also available for virtual residencies.
