All That Jazz!

Teaching Artist: Alicia Sunshine Gbaho

With dancer/choreographer Alicia Gbaho, students explore Jazz Swing dance and the music and history associated with it. Vocabularies increase and confidence is strengthened as students learn partner dances such as the Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Jitterbug.  The program culminates in share-formances of original dances choreographed by the students working in small groups.  Requires a large space, an empty classroom or a gym.
