Adventures in the Urban Wild

Teaching Artist: Angela Wildermuth

In this residency, Angela Wildermuth, outdoor educator and nature play facilitator, will use play and the five senses to help children discover the amazing sights, sounds, smells and even TASTES to be found in nature in the neighborhood. Throughout this program, children will get an overview of common, safe, and interesting Missouri native (and some non-native) wild edible plants, gaining a new appreciation for flowers, plants and trees. Fears and myths will be dispelled as we venture into the urban wild and experience life outside the school walls.
