Peppy Puppet Troupe was formed in 2009 by two St. Louis puppeteers, Michelle O’Donnell and Stan Gulick. They perform entertaining and educational puppet shows with a strong story line and humor. They utilize talking mouth puppets, hand puppets and a live actor. Their Springboard performances emphasize science based puppet shows. These performances help to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills through the creative process. Peppy Puppet Troupe has performed at Faust Park Carousel, The History Museum, City Museum, area schools, libraries, daycares, Puppetry Arts Institute (in KC) and many other venues. Michelle has been performing in children’s theatre and puppetry for over 30 years. She has worked at the Science Center and produced and performed science based puppet shows which were used for Scout programs, summer camps and at the St. Louis Public Schools. Stan has been performing for five years and has won training scholarships including the PuppetFest Midwest. While Stan is an accomplished puppeteer, he is also the Production Manager for Peppy Puppet Troupe and builds the puppets, stages, props, and coordinates all the sound and lighting. They are both members of the Puppet Guild of Greater St. Louis and the Puppeteers of America.
