Margaret Hassenstab is a dance teaching artist who found her calling in Arts Integration. She holds a BFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and danced professionally in New York City for 11 years, including six seasons in Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and numerous operas at the Metropolitan Opera. After retiring from the stage, Margaret turned her attention to teaching. She has taught at performing arts centers and at dance intensives across the U.S. Locally, Margaret taught as an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University, at Grand Center Arts Academy and currently teaches for COCA and Springboard, where she is a Wolf Trap teaching artist for early childhood and teaches a ballet and literacy program in the St. Louis Public Schools. In addition to her Wolf Trap training, she is trained to teach the Vaganova Ballet Syllabus through level 5 and Horton Modern Technique pedagogy. Margaret is one of Springboard’s original Wolf Trap Literacy and STEM trained teaching artists.
