Daniel Romano is a puppeteer, a storyteller, a teacher and a folklorist. He has performed at the International Institute’s Festival of Nations, The Shaw Neighborhood Arts Festival, the Catawba Farm Fest in Virginia and at schools, libraries and centers throughout the greater St. Louis metropolitan area and southern Illinois. He has taught performing art residencies for Pre-k through Eighth Grade Students with Springboard for the last 25 years. Blaque Berry Puppets, Romano’s puppet theater, was formed seven years ago and performs traditional folk tales and original stories. He has told Irish legends, tales from the Western Frontier. He has a BA in education with emphasis on early childhood from Webster University.
