Alisha Harris’ interest in yoga started during her college years when her father gifted her with her first yoga mat. She wasn’t practicing yoga at the time, but her father encouraged her to try something new. After taking yoga classes at a recreation center on campus, Alisha started to appreciate the mindful practice, along with its many benefits. After completing college with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, Alisha become a registered 200-hour yoga instructor. Becoming a yoga instructor gave Alisha the opportunity to share her passion for yoga with the St. Louis community. Since 2020, Alisha has taught yoga at community events, held donation-based classes in local parks, started a yoga YouTube channel, and taught trauma-informed classes to elementary and middle school students.
